Then sew the outer pouch as well.
Next, pin the right side outer fabric to the wrong side inner fabric and sew
Finally, fold in both the outer and lining in 5/8" and finish with a decorative zigzag stitch

Oversized Furry Vest

I have had this furry vest for about 3 years now and it's really starting to show it's age. It's the perfect vest to throw over a dress or t-shirt and jeans for a bit of added warmth. When I was at mood last week I found this amazing Italian wool and thought it would make the perfect new version. I also lined it so it wouldn't be itchy and when it flaps open there's a fun pattern on the inside. Thanks for stopping by - please like us on facebook here!

Men's shirt refashion

This week I wanted to try a refashion. Thrift store finds can be much less expensive than purchasing fabric. I saw this shirt and am loving this color for fall. It's sort of a peplum/smock shirt which wasn't 100% what I intended but that's what happens when you create on a whim!

Easy Knit Dolman

The internet is an amazing resource for anyone crafty. I found this free pattern here. I unfortunately didn't take all step by step photos, but you should be able to get the jist of this.

First, I downloaded and cut out the pattern. Then I matched all of the labeled notches and taped them together.

Second, I traced the pieced pattern onto a roll of paper to make it easier to cut out the fabric.

For both the front and the back, cut the fabric on the fold. Sew with 3/8" seam allowance. The great thing about knits is you don't have to sew a hem if it achieves the aesthetic you are going for. Here is how it turned out!
